- Simonton Elementary School offers students a wide range of extracurricular activities, including Student Council, robotics, chorus, art club, Reader’s Rally, intramural sports, and local STEM camps.
- Simonton Elementary School proudly welcomed forty-four 4th and 5th graders into the National Elementary Honor Society during our fourth annual induction ceremony.
- Simonton ES teachers continue to shine! We are thrilled to share that Mrs. Sahara Bryant was named the Simonton ES Teacher of the Year, celebrating her incredible dedication and contributions to student learning.
- Celebrating student success is at the heart of Simonton! Every month, we proudly recognize the students, teachers, and classrooms that demonstrate the qualities of Learning, Leading, and Excelling through our PBIS and Black Knight Character Awards.
- Advanced Content classes are offered to gifted and high-performing students in 3rd- through 5th-grade math and reading, as well as 5th-grade science.
- Play2Learn, an early childhood program for children from birth to age four, is offered weekly at Simonton Elementary School. Open to the entire school community, this class invites parents and children to participate together in play-based learning that builds early literacy and numeracy skills.
- In partnership with Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church, Simonton ES hosted "Raising Highly Capable Kids" parent classes. Through weekly meetings, participants connected deeply to build a strong, collaborative community for raising their children.
- Throughout the school year, we hosted a variety of family engagement sessions designed for our school community. These workshops covered essential topics such as navigating the Georgia Milestones, understanding our PBIS program, and effectively supporting multilingual learners at home.
- Our Family Engagement Center at Simonton Elementary is open daily! We welcome families to stop by and explore our wide range of resources and materials designed to support student learning at home.
