- Trip Elementary is a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School. The U.S. Department of Education recognized 356 schools as the 2024 cohort of National Blue Ribbon Schools. This prestigious recognition highlights schools that excel in academic performance or make significant strides in closing achievement gaps among different student groups. Trip Elementary School was honored to send representatives to receive this award in Washington, DC.
- Trip Elementary is a 2024 Title I Distinguished School. This distinction is given to schools in the top 5% for the Schoolwide Program. Trip is one of three schools in Gwinnett County to receive this honor.
- Trip Elementary students consistently demonstrate outstanding performance on district, state, and national assessments—reflecting the strength of our instructional programs. A wide range of leadership and enrichment opportunities are offered, including Jr. Beta Club, Student Council, and a variety of student-led clubs such as Art, Chorus, Good News, Robotics, French, and Garden Club.
- Trip Elementary’s award-winning French Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade, integrating French into science and math instruction. Students continue their bilingual education through high school, graduating fluent in French and eligible for a college minor in the language.
- Trip Elementary is honored to be a more than six-year recipient of the prestigious LabelFrancÉducation accreditation and the Empowering French and Francophone Studies grant, recognizing our commitment to global language education.
- Representing over 35 countries and over 40 languages, our student body reflects a rich tapestry of cultures. We celebrate this diversity through events like International Day and initiatives that promote academic achievement, self-esteem, and collaboration among students, families, and staff.
- As a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school, Trip Elementary fosters a culture of respect and responsibility. Students are recognized for positive behavior through Synergy points, PBIS parades, and reward events that reinforce our school values.
- Beyond academics, students can engage in a wide array of extracurricular activities including Chess, Fitness, Guitar, Orchestra, Readers Rally, Safety Patrol, STEM, and Technology clubs—nurturing leadership, creativity, and collaboration.
- Our Special Area classes enrich the core curriculum and include music, art, physical education, science enrichment, technology, computer science, French, health, and drama—providing students with a well-rounded educational experience.
