- The faculty and staff at Discovery High School believe the all students can and will succeed. This is exemplified by our continual growth in graduation rate over the last 4 years and commitment to remediation and enrichment at every level.
- Discovery High School focuses efforts on student leadership and engagement through scholarship, athletics, and school spirit. We adhere to the guiding principal that 10% of students should hold a leadership role within the school to ensure the school represents the values of students and the community.
- Discovery High School is a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
- Discovery High School earned the following Advanced Placement (AP) Honors during the 2024-25: AP Access and Support School, AP Humanities School, and AP STEM School.
- The entrepreneurial spirit is cultivated at Discovery High School through student based enterprises. We current have 3 student-run enterprises:
- Discovery Design, The Titan Corner Store, and Main Street Cafe.
- Discovery Design is a school based enterprise located in the Clyde L. Strickland Entrepreneurship Center (CSEC) of Discovery High School. It is run by graphics design students and is dedicated to empowering students to translate their academic knowledge into practical skills, preparing them for success in both their educational journey and future careers.
- The Titan Corner Store, another school-based enterprise situated outside the cafeteria, is managed by marketing students. Its primary objective is to facilitate easy access to essential gear and supplies for everyone. The store aims to serve as a comprehensive one-stop shop for all Discovery High School-related needs.
- The Main Street Café is a school based enterprise operated by the Discovery Life Skills Academy. Its purpose is to provide vocational, social, and employability skills in an authentic work environment for all students across academic settings. It aims to have every student achieve as much functional independence as possible before their journey here at Discovery comes to fruition.
- Discovery High School's JROTC Titan Battalion has 225 cadets and continues to grow. The Boy's and Girl's Teams placed and won multiple meets throughout 2024-25 school year.
- Discovery High School is an academy school that works to build knowledge and skills through our Fine Arts Academy, Business Academy, STEM Academy, and Health and Human Services Academy.
