  • The Class of 2025 was one of the most decorated senior classes in the history of Duluth High School.  Our graduates included a National Merit Scholar, 6 finalists for the Governor's Honors Program,  and 4 Questbridge Scholars.  Thirteen graduates enlisted in our Armed Services,  10 ROTC cadets earned the Seal for Leadership Skills, 65 graduates earned the Georgia Department of Education seal (for Marketing, Engineering, Computer science, Audio Visual TF,  and Healthcare Pathways , 121 graduates earned the Georgia Department of Education Fine Arts seal, and the Class of 2025 gained access to some of our nation’s most prestigious universities. This year's graduates earned $10.2 million in additional scholarships not including the HOPE Scholarship and they took more AP exams than at any other point in our school’s history.
  • Our Duluth Boys Soccer team were region champs and advanced to the Semifinals for the first time in 10 years and Coach Angel Adame was voted Region Coach of the Year.
  • Both Girls and Boys Lacrosse teams as well as the Boys Basketball team made it to the State Playoffs this year. Golf, Wrestling, and Swim had great seasons, with 25 athletes making it to state meets. 
  • Duluth High School's NJROTC had unprecedented success this year by growing to over 180 cadets, being named the most improved unit in Area 9, and placing 2nd in the area in drill/academics/and PT, earning them personal recognition by the GCPS Board of Education.
  • Duluth High School's Wildcat Theatre was honored with the Standing Ovation Award for the Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as the Shuler Awards. This statewide award recognizes excellence in high school musical theatre across Georgia, and the Standing Ovation Award is a particularly meaningful honor. It is presented to theatre programs that go above and beyond in making theatre accessible to all, while championing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the performing arts. Additionally,  Duluth Theater's One-Act ensemble were Region Champs.
  • Duluth High School's Wildcat Winterguard won first place in their class after their Championship performance in Chattanooga, TN. Our guard competed against 36 teams total.  Teams were represented from Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama.  Their final score was an 88.66 - their highest score in program history.  Students were awarded gold medals and will be promoted to compete in a higher competitive classification next season.
  • Duluth values and prioritizes the voice of each and every student. Our Student Advisory Council (SAC), Gwinnett Student Leadership Team (GSLT), Student Reps, and LEAD groups meet monthly with local administration, Duluth city officials and GCPS leaders to collaborate on school and community processes and initiatives. Together these groups developed four student led initiatives around empathy, equity, and excellence. One of those initiatives included the establishment of SALT (Student Athlete Leadership Team), which just enjoyed an extremely successful inaugural year.  SALT is poised to have 100 student members in the 25-26 school year.
  • On February 27, 2025, State School Superintendent Richard Woods named 276 Advanced Placement (AP) Honor schools from 99 school districts across the state and Duluth High School was one of them!  Additionally, the College Board recognized 2024 AP Honor Roll Schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness. Duluth High School was recognized in all of the following areas: AP Expansion School, AP Humanities School, AP Humanities Achievement School, AP School of Distinction, AP STEM  School, AP STEM Achievement School.
  • Duluth High School is a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
  • Students from our National Arts Honor Society led a collaboration with the City of Duluth and Paint Love, a non-profit agency dedicated to empowering youth and strengthening communities through art.  Together with Paint Love, our students designed and painted 6 storm drains along George Rogers Avenue in the City of Duluth.  This beautiful display of public art will continue into next year.
