- Grayson HS had a 100% pass rate for the first time since 2018 for the AP Spanish exam. The global mean is 3.6, Georgia’s mean is 3.7 and Grayson’s mean is 4.04. Congratulations to AP Spanish teacher, Lara Perez, and her students.
- Flag Football Team won 1st place in the first-ever Flag Football Training Academy Summer League with an undefeated record.
- Grayson ranked 40th among US News and World Report’s Best High Schools in Georgia for 2023.
- Custodial staff received a 99.67% on their inspection score report from the county office. Grayson’s cafeteria staff received a 100% on their September health inspection!
- Grayson’s Teacher of the Year, Dr. Wendy Dyer, was named one of the Top 25 Semifinalist for GCPS Teacher of the Year.
- 2023 Sporting Accolades:
- Volleyball Team is Region Champion
- Flag Football was Region Champion
- Football was Region Champion
- V Girls Basketball won the State Championship
- V Boys Basketball won the State Championship
- Baseball made it to the State Championship for the 1st time in school history
- Grayson Tech Music Industry students and Video students won 1st place in the SkillsUSA Music Video competition.
- Chef Garrett was awarded the Georgia ProStart Educator of the Year.
- Minh Tran scored a perfect score on his AP Computer Science Principles exam. He was 1 out of 459 students from around the world to earn every point possible on this challenging, college-level exam.
- Grayson was awarded the following categories for AP Honor Schools from the Georgia Department of Education: AP Access and Support Schools, AP Humanities Schools, AP Humanities Achievement Schools, AP Schools of Distinction, AP STEM Schools, and AP STEM Achievement Schools.
- The Band played in London at their New Year’s Day parade.
