At McClure Health Science High School, our foundational value is to "Awaken the Wonder" to spark curiosity, compassion, and purpose in students as they explore healthcare pathways. We offer a rigorous college-prep experience enriched by real-world exposure to the medical field, Students can engage in six specialized health pathways—Allied Health, Health Information Management, Patient Care Technician, Sports Medicine, Exercise Physiology, and Pharmacy Tech—while also having access to programs in Computer Science, Marketing, and Audio/Video/Film.
Through partnerships with Piedmont Eastside, Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Northside Hospital, Gwinnett Newton Rockdale County Public Health Department, GCPS School Clinics, Skylark Adult Daycare and others, students participate in health & career fairs, speaker series, simulations, and internships, gaining valuable industry insights and health science certifications.

- McClure Health Science High School was recognized as a Best High School in the US News and World Report. MHSHS ranked # 50 in the state of Georgia high schools, top 40 in the Atlanta Metro Area high schools, and top 9 in Gwinnett County Public Schools high schools.
- McClure Health Science High School has maintained a graduation rate above 90% since opening six years ago—an achievement that reflects the unwavering commitment of our students, families, teachers, and staff to academic excellence and a supportive school community.
- McClure Health Science High School was recognized as a 2025–2026 Advanced Placement Honor Roll Gold school and earned multiple awards including: AP School of Distinction; AP Humanities School; AP Humanities Achievement School; AP STEM School; AP STEM Achievement School; and AP Access and Support School—recognitions that reflect our strong commitment to preparing our students for college and career success.
- As part of our Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) program, 314 McClure Health Science High School students completed a three-course pathway in fields such as Patient Care Technician, Allied Health, Health Information Management, Exercise Physiology, Sports Management, Marketing, and Video, achieving a 73% pass rate on industry-required certification exams and becoming workforce-ready in these fields.
- McClure Health Science High School was awarded a $50,000 Workforce for Georgia Grant to advance our “Building Healthcare Pathways” initiative. In partnership with Georgia Power and the Georgia Foundation for Public Education, this grant will fund our sixth health science pathway in Pharmacy Technology opening in Fall 2026, and expand real-world simulations to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.
- Our Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) program received distinguished recognition, as a McClure Health Science student was selected as the 2025-2026 GCPS CTAE Student of the Year—an honor that highlights exceptional achievement and dedication to career-focused learning.
- Several McClure Health Science seniors were honored by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners and the GCPS Board of Education for earning the Civic Engagement Diploma Seal, a distinction that highlights their strong commitment to community service and civic responsibility.
- McClure Health Science' DECA students competed statewide with one of our students earning a Top 10 finish in Georgia and advancing to the International Competition while another student earned McClure’s first‑ever Gold School‑Based Enterprise Certification and will also compete internationally.
- In the areas of Fine Arts, a group of McClure Health Science High School students was recognized in Gwinnett County’s Jimmy Carter Legacy Art and Essay Contest, earning Top 36 Honorable Mentions and a Top 3 Grand Prize, with artwork displayed locally and at The Carter Center Library in Atlanta and several locations in Gwinnett County. Additionally, our Band and Orchestra Intermediate and Advanced Students earned a Superior Performance at LGPE—the highest possible rating.
- Students at McClure Health Science High School also earned multiple prestigious individual scholarships and received state and national recognition, including the 19 Under 19 Award presented by Junior Achievement of Georgia; the 2026 National Aspirations in Computing High School Award presented by the National Center for Women & Information Technology; and the National Honor Society awards for leadership and service.
