The Class of 2024 at Shiloh High School, composed of 466 graduates, exemplified academic excellence, leadership, and perseverance. Among this distinguished group were 90 Honor Graduates, including 29 full International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma recipients and 25 IB Course Candidates. Our scholars earned outstanding postsecondary opportunities, including an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point and acceptances to Yale University, Brown University, Georgia Tech, Penn State University, University of Georgia, along with a prestigious QuestBridge Scholarship recipient. Additionally, 116 students were recognized as CTAE Pathway Completers, having demonstrated mastery in career-focused programs that prepare them for success in both college and the workforce.

Shiloh High School made significant strides in promoting equity and expanding access to rigorous academic opportunities during the 2024–2025 school year. The number of students identified for Gifted testing increased by 400%, and Gifted class segments grew by 17.92%, signaling a broader reach of enriched instruction. IB enrollment increased by 30.38%, while AP African American Studies enrollment doubled, and overall AP participation rose by 17.4%. Additionally, Dual Enrollment participation grew by 18.9%, providing more students with access to college-level coursework. The revitalization of Science Fair participation also led to a standout performance at the GCPS Gwinnett Regional Science and Engineering Fair (GRSEF), where one student earned 3rd place. These outcomes reflect Shiloh’s intentional commitment to academic excellence, equity, and a culture of high expectations, ensuring that all students are empowered to reach their fullest potential.

Shiloh High School was honored by the Georgia Department of Education as a 2024 Advanced Placement Honor School, earning distinction in the categories of AP Access and Support, AP Expansion, and AP STEM. This esteemed recognition reflects Shiloh’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, equitable access, and expanding opportunities for all students to thrive in rigorous, college-level coursework.

Twenty-five students from Shiloh High School’s DECA chapter proudly competed against over 5,000 peers from across the state, demonstrating outstanding dedication, preparation, and professionalism. Four students earned Top 10 placements, and seven students placed in the Top 20 across a range of competitive categories, including Restaurant and Food Service Management, Principles of Entrepreneurship, Principles of Finance, Job Interview, Marketing Communications, Innovation Plan, Business Law & Ethics, Community Awareness, Professional Selling, Hospitality and Tourism, and Retail Merchandising. In addition to individual successes, the chapter earned prestigious recognition for its Membership Campaign and THRIVE Academy Chapter Campaigns—which included Membership, Community Service, and Promotions—and achieved Gold Re-Certification Status for its School-Based Enterprise (SBE). These achievements reflect Shiloh DECA’s ongoing commitment to excellence, leadership development, and community impact.

At Shiloh High School, we believe student voice is a powerful catalyst for school improvement and meaningful community impact. Through ongoing collaboration with school leadership, our Student Advisory Council (SAC), Gwinnett Student Leadership Team (GSLT), Shiloh Student Leadership Team, and Student Council played an instrumental role in enhancing and revitalizing the student experience. Their leadership and initiative led to the launch of a vertical mentoring program supporting students at Shiloh Middle School, the development of a Student Wellness Center set to open during the 2025–2026 school year, the implementation of the school’s first Peer Leadership course, and the establishment of Shiloh’s first brick-and-mortar PBIS Store serving both students and staff. Rooted in the principles of empathy, equity, and excellence, these student-driven accomplishments reflect the integrity and vision of our scholars and reinforce Shiloh’s commitment to developing the next generation of compassionate, empowered, and visionary leaders.

Shiloh High School’s Jabari Morrison made school history by becoming the first student to advance to the Top 6 in the prestigious GCPS CTAE Student of the Year competition. This remarkable achievement reflects not only his individual excellence but also the strength of Shiloh’s Graphic Design program and the unwavering dedication of our CTAE educators. His success marks a proud milestone for the Shiloh community and stands as a powerful testament to the brilliance, creativity, and limitless potential that define our student body.

Shiloh High School’s SkillsUSA chapter celebrated remarkable growth this year, achieving the largest percentage increase in membership across the state of Georgia—expanding from just 11 members to an impressive 61. Demonstrating both growth and excellence, the chapter also earned 2nd place in Graphic Communications at the state competition, securing a coveted spot to compete at the National SkillsUSA Conference.

Shiloh High School’s Mohamed Berte has been named the 2024 Positive Athlete of the Year for the state of Georgia in football. Chosen from more than 6,000 nominations across 457 GHSA schools, Mohamed is one of only seven students statewide to earn this prestigious recognition in his sport. The award honors not only his excellence on the field, but also his outstanding leadership, character, and positive attitude. This remarkable achievement is a testament to Mohamed’s impact as a student-athlete and a proud reflection of Shiloh’s tradition of PRIDE and excellence.

Shiloh High School proudly celebrates Ms. Mia Johnson, our 2024–2025 Teacher of the Year, who was named one of the Top 6 Finalists for Gwinnett County Public Schools Teacher of the Year—a remarkable distinction in a district filled with exceptional educators. As a dedicated Algebra I teacher, Ms. Johnson has played a pivotal role in leading her team to consistently surpass district performance averages. Her unwavering commitment to excellence, student growth, and collaborative teaching has not only elevated systemic academic achievement but also helped cultivate a schoolwide culture of high expectations, strong student support initiatives, and renewed commitment to instructional excellence. Two students from Shiloh High School’s Graphic Design Pathway were honored as winners of the Gwinnett County Instructional Support Center’s Café 437 logo design contest. Their unique designs will be prominently displayed at both entrances of the café. This prestigious accomplishment highlights not only the creativity, talent, and expertise cultivated in Shiloh's Graphic Design program but also showcases the innovative spirit that defines Shiloh scholars and inspires our entire community.
