- JMS has once again exceeded expectations. Nationally, about 50% of students achieve their expected typical growth, and 25% meet their stretch growth through iReady assessments. We are proud that JMS has a 62% typical growth and 38% stretch growth in math! This is a significant step towards the academic success of each and every student at our school.
- Jordan Middle School is proud of the number of students who are meeting the standards to enter the gifted and talented program. Our numbers moved from 11% to 15% in one year, and our students are continuing to show what they know.
- JMS continues to be recognized for our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) program efforts. Our students are learning conflict resolution skills and how to effectively interact with people on a daily basis. Our discipline numbers are down, and our academic success continues to rise.
- Jordan Middle School is proud to announce our acceptance of the Math Leader Award by the State of Georgia. It recognized our students who continue to rank high in the area of mathematics.
- Jordan Middle School hosted our first annual International Night and was featured in the Gwinnett Daily Post for the consistent work we do in support of our community. We are also proud to work closely with The Atlanta Food Bank through Helping Hands to provide food drives for our community.
- JMS is proud of our relationship with the Kyle Pitts Foundation. His foundation is committed to our school and ensuring our students are focused on teaching and learning. At the end of the first semester, The Kyle Pitts Foundation donated gaming chairs, Coach purses, Beats headphones, PlayStation 5s, and more to the students who exceeded standards on their district assessments. Other students who improved significantly received a pizza party, and teachers were awarded a staff luncheon and signed football jerseys for their consistent commitment to excellence for our students.
