- North Gwinnett Middle School was ranked #8 in Georgia Middle Schools by US News & World Report Schools based on our performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well we prepare our students for high school.
- NGMS held its annual “We are North: Celebrating Culture, Curriculum, and Community” event, where families and staff from over 20 countries set up cultural displays and participated in performances to highlight their heritage. Additionally, staff created academic exhibits spotlighting student work and curriculum topics.
- NGMS Percussion Ensemble was one of the only middle school ensembles in the nation chosen to perform at the Midwest Clinic.
- At NGMS, 67% of the 8th-grade students met both benchmarks on the PSAT for Evidence-based Reading and Writing and Math scores, over twice the 25% state-level average.
- Two NGMS Quiz Bowl teams qualified and competed in the 2025 National Academic Quiz Bowl middle school competition.
- Two NGMS Vex Robotics Teams qualified and competed in the World Championship competition.
- Three teams represented North Gwinnett Middle School at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals.
- Twenty-one NGMS students competed at the middle and high school level at the DECA State competition, with four students placing in the top ten for their category.
- NGMS scientists and engineers competed at the state-level Science and Engineering Fair. They came back big winners, including the Junior Division Pinnacle Award (which is 1st place for Middle School at the state level), two Best in Category awards, and the GSEF Outstanding 8th Grade Project. 11 students placed first through 3rd place, and six students received Honorable Mentions.
- The NGMS Readers Rally team participated in the final four district-level middle school competition.
