- North Gwinnett Middle School was ranked #8 in Georgia Middle Schools by US News & World Report Schools based on our performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well we prepare our students for high school.
- NGMS was recognized by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA) for high academic performance and growth, earning the 2026 SSAS Greatest Gains Bronze Award as well as the Highest Performing Gold Award.
- NGMS was identified by the GaDOE as a leader in Literacy and Math based on 2025 Milestones scores.
- Two NGMS Quiz Bowl teams qualified and competed in the 2026 National Academic Quiz Bowl middle school competition.
- The NGMS Readers Rally team won first place in the GCPS 2026 Reader’s Rally Competition.
- Four NGMS Vex Robotics Teams qualified and competed in the 2026 World Championship competition.
- Four teams represented North Gwinnett Middle School at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals.
- The NGMS Girls Soccer Team won first place in the GCPS County Tournament.
- All Fine Arts departments scored all superior ratings at LGPE (Large Group Performance Ensemble).
- NGMS held its annual “We are North: Celebrating Culture, Curriculum, and Community” event, where families and staff from over 20 countries set up cultural displays and participated in performances to highlight their heritage. Additionally, staff created academic exhibits spotlighting student work and curriculum topics.
