The Osborne MS girls basketball team were undefeated during the 24-25 season, and won the GCPS County Championship for the first time in school history! We are very proud of our girls, and Head Coach Adrianna Johnson for being an exemplary role model for her players.

The Osborne MS girls soccer team was also undefeated during the 24-25 season, and won the GCPS County Championship during the inaugural season! We are very proud of our girls, and Coaches Andrew Cornell and Sydney Kelley for their excellent work both establishing and excelling during our first season.

Students at Osborne MS won both the 7th grade and 8th grade GCPS Young Writer's contest. We are very proud that two grade level winners were both selected from Osborne! This is a huge achievement by our LA teachers, led by Gryffen Andrews and Kim Jones.

The OMS Chamber Choir, led by Director Taylor Hall, was selected to perform at the 2025 Georgia ACDA Conference. All submitted recordings were reviewed anonymously by a listening panel using the National ACDA Performing Choir Rubric. The panel was deeply impressed by the artistry and musicianship demonstrated by the OMS performance.

The 8th grade OMS Orchestra, led by Director Carl Reike, was invited and performed at the Kennesaw State University Orchestra Invitational. The OMS Orchestra earned all "Superior" ratings at GMEA this year, which is a significant achievement.

The OMS Band, led by Director Emily Nguyen, earned all "Superior" ratings at GMEA this year, which is a significant achievement. Additionally, 118 Students performed at the GMEA District 13 Solo & Ensemble Event- All Students received "superior" and “excellent” ratings.

Osborne MS was recognized by the State DOE by winning the "Masters of Mathematics" recognition. OMS students performed at impressive levels on the Algebra End of Course exam in the Spring of 2024. The Algebra content team was later recognized at a Faculty meeting for their significant achievement!

Osborne MS 8th grade Social Studies students, under the leadership of Mr. Mitch Herman, proposed a Bill for the GA General Assembly, advocating for no taxation on earnings for citizens under 18 years old. This idea caught the attention of Majority Leader Rep. Chuck Efstration (House District 104), who visited Osborne in November 2024 to speak to the students about the legislative process.

Osborne MS was recognized as the TOP #1 GCPS middle school in implementing the Character Strong lessons during our advisement program. We celebrate the school's focus on building character and supporting our students SEL needs, and recognize Ms. Delia Sandor for her leadership in this area.

Osborne MS celebrated the illustrious career of Principal Kenney Wells, who retired effective January 2025. He served OMS for 10 years and was recognized on his last day with a celebratory "Walk" as teachers, staff and students cheered and honored his legacy.
