- Snellville Middle School is a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school. PBIS encourages and recognizes positive student behaviors with various levels of recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
- Snellville Middle School’s Reader’s Rally Team won the Gwinnett Readers Rally competition for Division I. Readers Rally is quiz style academic bowl where students are required to read a series of predetermined books and answer questions from a panel of judges.
- Snellville Middle School’s Junior Leadership Corps (JLC) has 280 student cadets in the program. JLC cadets competed in Raider and Drill meets across the district, finishing 1st or 2nd place in all events.
- All students at Snellville Middle School participate in an extracurricular club offered during the school day. Snellville Middle offers over 40 clubs to students, such as Cosmetology, Anime, Robotics, Cooking and STEM.
- The Snellville Middle School Band program received Superior ratings on stage performance and sight-reading at the Georgia Music Educators District XIII Large Group Performance Evaluation.
- The Snellville Middle School Orchestra program received Superior ratings on stage performance and sight-reading at the Georgia Music Educators District XIII Large Group Performance Evaluation.
- Snellville Middle School held its 10th Annual Black History Program where students and teachers performed dances, spoken word pieces, poetry and songs showcasing the African American culture and highlighting the impact of African Americans on our nation’s history.
- Snellville Middle School held its 2nd Annual Hispanic Heritage Program where students, teachers and families enjoyed food from various Latin countries, performed traditional dances and music. The program highlighted the rich heritage and contributions of the Hispanic community.
- Snellville Middle School had the largest number of Junior Beta Inductees for the National Junior Beta Club since the chapter's inception. The Junior Beta club recognizes outstanding academic achievement, promotes character and social responsibility, encourages service involvement in school and community and fosters leadership skills.
