- Gwinnett Online Campus had the theme of TIME for students and staff.
- GOC has been awarded the 2024 D2L Excellence Award for our developed comprehensive training programs through our Center for Transforming Instruction for both educators and students.
- GOC was named as a Best High School in the 2023-2024 National Rankings.
- Through the Graduate Gwinnett program, 157 students met their goal to receive their diplomas during this school year.
- GOC Graduate Gwinnett student Alyssa Perez was awarded a $40,000 scholarship through College Board’s BigFuture program.
- Senior Avery Britt was selected for the second year in a row at Theocon to share her solo on stage in front of thousands at the closing ceremonies.
- Senior Braylon Kelly was a Gates Scholar Award recipient. The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to exceptional student leaders with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.
- Middle School Counselor Nikki Johnson was a finalist for the GCPS Middle School Counselor of the Year.
- Ms. Christine Wallace was selected as the recipient of the National Association of Geoscience Teachers (NAGT) OEST Award for Georgia! The Outstanding Earth Science Teacher Award from the National Association of Geoscience Teachers is a highly regarded acknowledgment of K12 educators who have demonstrated excellence in teaching Earth Science and have made significant contributions to the advancement of geoscience education. Christine Wallace has consistently demonstrated these qualities through her innovative teaching methods, enthusiasm for the subject, and dedication to fostering a love for Earth Science among her students.
- GOC Assistant Principals and counselors presented at the 2024 Digital Learning Conference in Austin, TX, at the end of February. Assistant Principal Dr. Cheryl Haynes presented on "Special Education in the Online Environment".
- Dr. Genna McCurley, Assistant Principal, Ms. Julie Floyd, HS Counselor, and Ms. Kari Wislar, HS Counselor, presented on "You Matter! Implementing a comprehensive K-12 counseling program to support the social and emotional needs of students at an online school".
