Readers Rally is a quiz bowl style competition for students in grades 4 – 5.  Students read books from a predetermined list and answer questions about those books. Each Gwinnett County school may send one team of up to 10 players to the Readers Rally.

Students will read the 10 Reader’s Rally books and complete activities at home and at meetings to earn points.  The county competition is scheduled for February 24, 2024 at Peachtree Ridge High School at 8:00 AM. The team will only be able to take 10 players.  A point system will be used to determine what students will be on the final team. Points are accumulated by completion of different study guides for each book, attendance, and finally, with our practice buzzer rounds. Depending upon the number of students who initially participate in Readers Rally, a 1st cut of students will occur after the November meeting.  The final cut to the top 10 will occur after the January meeting. The final 10 students will be solely selected based on results from the practice buzzer rounds, which mimic our county competition.

At meetings, students will meet in small groups to discuss RR books and complete activities that will help prepare students for the Reader’s Rally competition.
