Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Thomas Trippany

Dear Family and Friends,

I am very excited about beginning my 12th year as the Principal at Shiloh Elementary. Our teachers and students rocked the Georgia Milestones with scores almost as high as they were prior to the pandemic. I would also like to thank the parents for supporting and encouraging your children last year. We had a number of Saturday school, after-school and summer school interventions that added to the rich and rigorous daily instruction that our staff members provided throughout the year.

We are excited about the upcoming school year and implementing a robust social and emotional learning program. We will be focusing on student relationships and the ability to communicate effectively and positively with one another.

New Shiloh parents who have not yet registered can check our website for procedures for registering students. Parents who were with us last year should have been sent a link that enabled you to sign up for a time on August 1st to meet your new teacher. Please call the school or check our website for more details.

Gwinnett County Public Schools will continue the staggered start. See below for start dates by grade level.

August 3rd – Kindergarten and 1st Grade, and all self-contained special education classes

August 4thth – 2nd Grade – 5th Grade

As you can see, our 2nd-5th graders will begin the year digitally. If you will need a computer and/or hotspot for the digital day(s), you will be able to check one out when you come to meet the teacher.

If you have a new student, please get them registered as soon as possible, so we can get them placed in a class and you can receive the teacher's communications.

I hope all of you had a wonderful summer. Be safe and stay healthy.

Your VERY PROUD Principal,

Thomas Trippany
