Ms. Denell Laidler
My name is Denell Laidler, and I am excited to serve as one of the assistant principals at Anderson Livsey Elementary, and I am thrilled to be a member of the General family! Anderson Livsey is known for its phenomenal students, staff, positive family atmosphere, and commitment to excellence. As school administrator, I support our teachers and students in many ways, but my primary role is Assistant Principal of Special Education. I believe strongly in the need to involve family and community members in the education of our students, as this creates the best opportunity for success.
I come to Anderson Livsey with 24 years of educational experience as a teacher, Intervention Specialist and Instructional Coach. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Bethune-Cookman University (BCC), master’s degree from Barry University, and my specialist degree in Education Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University. During my spare time, I enjoy traveling, shopping and spending time with my family and friends.
It is my role to make sure that all who enter our building are treated with dignity and respect. That our ALES students enjoy school, and receive a challenging and meaningful learning experience, where they can thrive academically, socially, feeling valued and safe. Lastly, my goal is to support our teachers, staff, and families because you are the core of the work, we do each day and for that you are truly appreciated!
I look forward to partnering with the students, staff, parents, and community to ensure all our students excel socially, emotionally, and academically.
Generals Salute!

Mr. Christopher Jackson
Hello Generals! My name is Christopher Jackson and I am thrilled to begin another year at Anderson-Livsey Elementary School! Every day I look forward to working towards our school's mission of providing an enriching and challenging learning environment that positively impacts academic and social growth of all students. Knowledge is power. Once you learn something, it can never be taken away. It is my goal as an educator to empower children not only with academic knowledge, but with knowledge of self.
I have received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Paine College, and a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Mercer University. Prior to joining Anderson-Livsey in 2020, I spent the last two years serving the Collins Hill cluster as a 4th grade teacher at Mckendree Elementary School. Before that, my family and I were living and working abroad in Saudi Arabia and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. My experience overseas has been invaluable because I was afforded the opportunity to work with a diverse student population.

Ms. Vigilant
Greetings! My name is Joanne Vigilant and I am your school principal! I bring with me a total of twelve years of administrative experiences ranging from Elementary to High School.
I started my career in education many years ago as a school custodian, and also worked in the cafeteria, school front office and as a paraprofessional for Special Education classes and students.
Prior to being a school administrator, I have also served as a director of counseling, taught Elementary and Middle School, was a sign language interpreter and a softball coach.
I bring to the table not only paper qualifications but also an underlying gratitude, understanding and a passion for the “underdog.” Born and raised in the Virgin Islands, I understand and know what a good education can do. I also understand what a true struggle it can be for parents, students, teachers, and I am here to help.
I have a passion for education and for our students. I work hard alongside our dedicated teachers to bring about results. I am happy to call Georgia and Anderson-Livsey my new home.
Stop in--Let’s meet!
