Basketball and Cheerleading
7th & 8th Grade Students Only:
7th & 8th-grade students must try out for and must meet eligibility requirements in order to participate in the following activities:
- Boys & Girls Basketball
- Cheerleading
A limited number of seventh (7th) grade students will be allowed to participate in middle school athletics. No more than one-third of a basketball or cheer roster may be made up of seventh-grade students.

News Crew
Location of Meetings or Activities: Media Center

Purpose of Club or Activity: The BCMS Media Center is the host of the BCMS Studio where our News Crew Club meets every morning at 8:25 AM to prepare and air the daily morning show, which serves as general morning announcements for our students and staff.
Who is eligible to participate: The BCMS News Crew Club is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th-grade students interested in television broadcasting, news collection, and journalism. Students can participate as anchors, production team, or technical crew.
Meeting days and times: Every morning at 8:25 am

Readers Rally
Location of Meetings or Activities: BCMS Readers Rally Club meetings take place in the Media Center.

Purpose of Club or Activity: The Bay Creek Middle School Readers Rally Club mission is to foster a love of reading, connect readers, share reading experiences, enrich student knowledge of literary genres, and engage in fun discussions about favorite books.
Who is eligible to participate: The BCMS Readers Rally Reading Club is open to students in all grade levels (6th-8th) who have a passion for reading and enjoy discussing literature with other book enthusiasts. Please fill out this interest form below or contact Mrs. Pope in the media center, if you would like to join our club.
Meeting days and times: Announcements are made regularly during morning show regarding scheduled meetings.
How much are the fees or dues: There is no cost to join our BCMS Readers Rally Reading Club. However, students may need to purchase one or more of the 10 books discussed during our meetings and a binder to keep track of their reading portfolio. Also, members will be required to purchase the Readers Rally T-shirt for the championship.
