Governor's Honors Program

  • Brookwood High School participates in the prestigious Governor's Honors Program (GHP).

    Students are nominated by their teachers and compete at county and state levels for a spot in the summer program that is held annually at a college campus in Georgia. Each student pursues study in one of these academic areas: Engineering, Music, Science, Social Studies, and World Languages.

    GHP panel SEPT 2021

    In September, Brookwood's 12 participants in the Summer 2021 Governor's Honors Program spoke with sophomores and juniors about their experience this past June and July. All 60 in the audience were nominated by teachers to partipate in next year's program.  The application process is rigorous and continues through Winter 2022.
