    For parents/guardians of upcoming kindergartners, we're looking forward to welcoming your child in August. Please see the steps below for information on Kindergarten registration.

    Important Information

    Gwinnett County Public Schools will open Online Registration for the 2022-2023 school year on April 11th.  Please follow the steps below in order to register your rising kindergartner for the next school year.

    After you have completed online registration and have uploaded the required documents, you may use the Patrick Kindergarten Registration Sign Up Genius to schedule a document review appointment with the school registrar. Please be sure to bring your child with you to the appointment. While you are verifying the paperwork, your child will meet with one of our teachers for a brief assessment.

Please review the information and when you are ready to start your online registration, you will scroll down and choose the appropriate link (New to GCPS or NOT New to GCPS).

    Important Information About Kindergarten Registration

    Please read the information on the GCPS Online Kindergarten Registration Page carefully. All of the information you need to register your child online is included on the GCPS website. Online registration for Kindergarten begins on April 11, 2022.

    When registering your rising kindergartener, make sure you select the 2022-2023 school year. If you accidently select the current school year of 2021-2022, you will have to redo your application.

    The process should take approximately 30 minutes.

    If you are enrolling a new kindergartener, the child must be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2022.

    Please note: The online portion DOES NOT complete the registration process. Continue with the steps below.

  • Step 2

    Upload required documentation | Upload instructions

    • Two Proof of Residency documents – A current utility bill plus one other
      document.
    • Birth Verification – Student’s Birth Certificate, Passport, etc.
    • A Georgia certificate of immunization
    • Evidence of Vision, Hearing, Dental, and Nutrition Screening obtained in the
      past year
    • Proof of authorized person to enroll – This is only required for Non-Birth Parents
    • A photo ID
    • Child’s social security number – Students will be enrolled, even if this number is
      not provided. However, parents will be asked to sign a waiver.
    • Non-GCPS Report Card/Transcript
    • Non-GCPS Discipline Records
    • Previous School’s Withdrawal Form

    Please be aware that your child will not be entered into our student database and assigned a teacher until ALL required documents are received. Please make copies ahead of time, if possible.
