Important Back-to-School Documents Now Available
Summer is still here, but it is time to start preparing for the 2019-2020 school year. There are several documents available on the Documents & Policies page (under Parents tab) that you may need before Open House on Thursday, August 1, 2019.
Please visit the Documents & Policies page on this website to find the documents. Please check back regularly, as we are adding the 2019-2020 documents as we get them from the county. HAPPY SUMMER IN JULY!
We would like to cordially invite ALL parents to meet their children's teachers at the Lilburn Middle School Open House scheduled for Thursday, August 1, 2019 per the following schedule:
6th Grade: 1:00-2:30 PM (Park in lower level)
7th Grade: 2:00-3:30 PM (Park on the side)
8th Grade/Gear Up: 3:00-4:30 PM (Park at the front)
In addition, you will have an opportunity to do the following:
- receive the Gwinnett County School Student Handbook,
- register for My Payments Plus and the Parent Portal, and join the PTSA;
- complete clinic cards, lunch forms, and contribution forms (cash only); and
- learn valuable information about your child’s bus route.
Please do not forget to bring emergency contact names and phone numbers with you. We look forward to meeting you and we hope that you can attend!
Don’t forget to make sure that your child is completing his/her LMS Summer Math and Reading Assignment. You can pick up a copy at LMS, or you can download it from the LMS Summer Reading & Math Guides page (under Students tab).

Summer Registration for New Students
We will hold New Student Registration on the following Tuesdays and Thursdays in July: July 9, 11, 16, 23, and 25 from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.

There are some new items on the list, so make sure you take a look. Earbuds...earbuds are the most popular new item on the list.
GCPS Book Mobile COMING TO YOU SUMMER 2019
The GCPS Book Mobile made its debut in the summer of 2017 traveling to many Meadowcreek cluster neighborhoods. Because of its popularity, last summer Norcross cluster neighborhoods were added, putting even more books into the hands of students from lower income neighborhoods.
Check out the GCPS Book Mobile Summer 2019 route serving the Meadowcreek, Central and Shiloh cluster schools, beginning June 3, 2019.

2019-2010 Registration for Gwinnett Online Campus (GOC) Grades 4-12 Re-opens
GOC is the full-time, online option for GCPS students in grades 4-12. GOC offers a unique online experience for students to have flexibility with access to courses at any time, anywhere.
Gwinnett Online Campus has reopened full-time registration for the upcoming 2019-20 school year. Students who will be in grades 4-12 can register for GOC from April 9 - May 3 on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure a space, families are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Be aware that GOC does not offer mid-year enrollment. For more information, please visit the school’s website.
Georgia Milestones 2019 Testing Begins Soon
Georgia Milestones (GMAS) Testing will begin on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, immediately after we return from spring break. For a full view of the schedule and for complete information about GMAS End-of-Grade and End-of-Course testing, please click here or visit our Assessments page on this website.

How to Help Your Child Prepare for the Georgia Milestones
The Georgia Milestones (GMAS) will begin soon after students return from Spring Break. In addition to students reviewing their coursework regularly. There are additional ways to help your child be more successful on the assessments. Students who are prepared, calm, and rested perform better on tests. Teen Lures Prevention Program begins today...
During the months of February and March, our school counselors will offer the Teen Lures Prevention lessons to all students in grades 6-8. You can learn more about the program at www.teenluresprevention.com. Please be aware that more information is provided on the website than is actually used in Gwinnett County. Below is a list of lures that are discussed at each grade level. Each grade reviews what was learned in the previous grade(s) and then learns additional lures.
6th: Game Lure, e-lure, Name Lure; 7th: Authority Lure, Assistance Lure, Ego/Fame Lure; 8th: Affection Lure, Trafficking Lure, Pet Lure
If you prefer that your child not participate in the teen lures prevention lessons, please write and sign a note indicating your preferences and send it to your child’s teacher or school counselor.
