Basketball Tryouts are Happening Soon
7th & 8th grade boys and girls interested in trying out for basketball must have completed the basketball packet before tryouts begin. Students can pick up information packets in the 7th or 8th grade academy offices.

2022-2023 Calendar Option Feedback Opportunity

5:15 – 5:55 p.m. Title I Annual Parent Meeting in the Art Room (2.163) (6th and 7th grade families will be able to view the recording on lilburmmiddle.com by Monday, September 27)
6:00 – 6:15 p.m. 8th Grade Families report to child’s team for PTSA video meeting (Families not in attendance will be able to access the video at lilburnmiddle.com)
6:15 – 7:30 p.m. Teacher presentations - Our teachers will provide an overview of the curriculum, expectations, procedures, and eCLASS page resources. (8th Grade families in person; 6th and 7th Grade families will find links to live sessions at lilburnmiddle.com)
Lifelines and Teen Lures Program
Our LMS 7th grade students will be participating a classroom guidance lesson based on the Lifelines: A Suicide Prevention Program from October-December 2021. Please read the overview information and letter from 7th grade counselor, Ms. Edwards for program details.
If you do not wish for your child to participate in this guidance lesson, please submit a signed letter to the school indicating that preference.

LMS Lunch Distribution
Lilburn Middle School’s lunch distribution for digital students will be from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the cafeteria entrance by the bus loop.

Participated in this school year’s last student-centered Read to Lead: Live! webinar featuring author and political leader, Stacey Abrams.
On June 4th at 1:00 PM EST, we’re excited to share that Stacey Abrams will share her story and journey to becoming the most voted Democrat in the State of Georgia’s history when she ran for Governor, and authoring books that are on the New York Times bestseller list with students from all over the country.

Summer Food Resources and Assistance
Gwinnett County Public Schools: Information regarding meals during summer school and the K-8 Summer Enrichment and Acceleration program will be communicated with participating families. However, all GCPS families can take advantage of the curbside pickup service for children ages 18 and younger. The meals—both breakfast and lunch—will be provided at 27 middle schools from June 14 to July 2 between 11 a.m. to noon on weekdays. (All middle schools will participate except Five Forks MS and Jones MS, which are undergoing construction.)
Gwinnett County Community Services is offering free grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches at 25 locations. Curbside pick-up of nutritious meals is for 18 years or younger or those 19 years of age or older with a physical or mental impairment. Gwinnett Cares is another resource for families seeking food resources and assistance this summer, available at https://gwinnettcares.org/need-help/individual/food/.

Summer Enrichment + AccelerationThe deadline to register your 6th or 7th grade child for the Summer Enrichment + Acceleration (SEA) Program is this Sunday, May 9 at 11:59 PM.The registration link was sent by email on Wednesday and is also available on eCLASS.

Lifelines Suicide Prevention Program at LMS for 7th graders
We all share a common goal for our children to be safe and protected. This suicide prevention program will be taught to 7th grader through role playing exercises, during the month of October. Please click on the link here to read the letter explaining the program.
If you do not wish for your student to participate, please send in a signed note to your child's teacher or counselor indicating your preference.
