    The basketball club is an exciting way to encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and athletics in one. Students learn the core, foundational principles of basketball, while also learning the value of hard work and teamwork to achieve the dream.

    The Beach club is a kid-friendly community that promotes honesty, integrity, and character-building skills. The Beach club is one bridge between the local community and the school.

  • Chess Club

    The Chess club is an academic extension that challenges students in the game of Chess. Students learn the fundamentals to make strategic moves, improving cognition and critical thinking beyond the classroom. Students engage in local school competition to practice these skills.

  • Chorus

    Chorus club offers focused vocal training, choral singing experiences both in unison and harmony arrangements, and performance opportunities including a staged musical. The Chorus club is an exciting way to foster musical skills and encourage soft skills amongst students.

  • Gardening Club

    We will be covering plant life cycles, planting, maintaining and harvesting vegetables and hydroponic gardening to help students in grades 3-5 connect their learning to the real-world.

  • Girls on the Run

    Girls on the Run is a program for students in 4th and 5th grade. It provides a place to grow, connect and shine; fostering a safe place to build confidence and healthy habits for life. Students that participate will have the opportunity to participate in a 5k marathon at the end of the program.

  • Ladies of Distinction

    Our goal is to empower and promote safety and wellbeing in all aspects of our 5th grade girls' lives. We strive to create lifelong learners and leaders who will help their peers, make responsible decisions, and practice active goal-setting in preparation for the future.

  • Lego League

    Lego League is a safe space for all things STEAM. Lego League fosters imagination, curiosity, initiative, and teamwork. Students engage in various challenges to prepare for the Lego League competition at the end of the year.

  • Peer Leadership

    The Annistown Peer Leadership Program is a program designed to build leadership skills in 4th & 5th grade students as well as provide assistance to students who may be having difficulty with academics. The program seeks to create a culture of trust and engagement, empower students to work independently and with diverse groups, provide students with tools to better achieve goals, and develop student voice.

  • Reader's Rally

    Readers Rally is a reading quiz bowl style competition for students in grades four through twelve. Students read books from a pre-determined list and answer questions about those books. Each Gwinnett County school may send one team of ten players or less to the Readers Rally event.

  • Robotics Club

    The Robotics Club is a new addition to Annistown, highlighting the beauty in creative design and science. Students will learn a little engineering, design, and teamwork by creating robots for various purposes and competing.

  • Safety Patrols

    AAA School Safety Patrols benefit students, schools, and communities. 

    Students gain:
    Safety awareness, Leadership, Teamwork, Pride, Citizenship, and Respect for law enforcement

    Schools benefit from opportunities to promote:
    Traffic safety awareness, Peer-to-peer education, Character-building opportunities, A constructive outlet for students’ energy, and A positive relationship with parents, law enforcement, and the overall community

  • Soccer Club

    The purpose of this camp is to give 3rd-5th grade students the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of soccer while also instilling life lessons, discipline, character, sportsmanship and a love for physical activity.

  • Student Council

    The purpose of the Student Government Association (SGA) club is to provide 5th graders with the opportunity to run and campaign for positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, Grade Representatives, Treasurer and Parliamentarian, Senator and student council member at Annistown ES.

    The students will participate in the process of what it takes to earn votes in running for office, develop communication and reading skills as a leader in the school. The students will be responsible for hosting an election for Georgia’s Governor at the school. The students will also be responsible for bringing concerns about the school from their peers to the SGA Club meetings for possible resolutions.

  • Video Production

    The purpose of this club is to teach students the process of creating video projects and how to safely post online. The students will learn how to execute pre-production, production and post-production abilities. This club is for grades 4 & 5.

  • All Pro Parents

    All Pro Dad is a community-inclusive event designed to bridge stronger relationships between the school and our working parents. The focus is instilling strong, core values and respect into our students with the support of fathers and father figures.
