Board of Education appoints new principal

     At its regular monthly meeting on November 19, 2020, the Gwinnett County Board of Education appointed Tameika Turner-Haynes as the principal of Jenkins Elementary School. Ms. Turner-Haynes currently serves as an assistant principal at McConnell Middle School. She fills the principal position as Dr. Michele Smith, who has served as the principal of Jenkins since 2015, will transition to her new role as the district’s Executive Director of Internal Resolution and Compliance/Title IX Coordinator.
