School Board approves new principals

April 16, 2021

     At its regular April business meeting, the Gwinnett County Board of Education appointed two new principals and filled a district-level position. Dr. Sally Lehmann, an assistant principal at Knight Elementary School, will be the principal at Burnette Elementary School for the 2021-22 school year. She will take the place of Kim Reed who is retiring in June. Mark Moon, an assistant principal at Winn Holt Elementary School, has been tapped to serve as the new principal at Chattahoochee Elementary School. Moon will transition to the principal position with the retirement of Dr. Jeff Lee. In other personnel action, the Board appointed Dr. Tereka Williams, the principal of Shiloh Middle School, as the district’s Executive Director of Continuous Quality Improvement. Dr. Williams fills the role formerly held by Jay Nebel who now serves as an assistant superintendent for middle schools.
