GCPS student wins national school bus safety art contest

November 10, 2021

Huyen Pham, a former Northbrook Middle School student who now attends Peachtree Ridge High School, has been named the 2021 NAPT (National Association for Pupil Transportation) National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest winner. Contestants were asked to submit artwork that depicts school bus safety-related themes and encourages and promotes school bus safety. The 2021-22 National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest theme is “1 Bus + 1 Driver = a BIG Impact on Education.”

Pham entered the contest as an 8th grader and advanced to the national competition after winning the statewide competition. Her submission competed against artwork submitted by students from more than forty states. Pham’s poster will now be used to promote safe school transportation nationwide.
