GCPS high schools rated among the best in state and nation

     Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology (GSMST) heads a list of Gwinnett County public high schools named among the best in the state and nation. U.S. News & World Report evaluated data on nearly 25,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Nearly 18,000 public high schools were ranked on six factors:

 

  • College Readiness (proportions of 12th graders who took and earned a qualifying score on at least one AP or IB exam)
  • State Assessment Proficiency
  • State Assessment Performance
  • Underserved Student Performance
  • College Curriculum Breadth
  • Graduation Rate

 

     GSMST is listed as the #1 school in Georgia and one of the ten best in the nation. Of the Gwinnett schools ranked, two are in the top 20 in the state (GSMST and North Gwinnett High School). Eight stand within the top 50 in the state (Archer High School, Brookwood High School, Grayson High School, GSMST, Mill Creek High School, North Gwinnett High, Parkview High School, and Peachtree Ridge High School).
