NTI Saturdays End May 1!

Gwinnett County Public School strives to ensure students are meeting the Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) each day. We recognize that some students require additional time, opportunities and support to demonstrate mastery of the AKS. To that end, we will be offering a NTI Saturday School Intervention Program. This program is a two-hour program that is offered six Saturdays in the areas of ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies.

Based upon a review of your child’s grades, it may have been determined that your child would benefit from additional time, opportunities and support to demonstrate mastery of their grade level AKS. If your child has been recommended for our NTI Saturday School Intervention Program, you should have received a letter.

Participating students MUST BRING THEIR LAPTOPS, as the school does not have any additional laptops at this time.

The NTI Saturday School Intervention Program will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Students can begin being dropped off at 8:45 and should be picked up no later than 11:15.  The NTI Saturday School Intervention Program dates are as follows:

  • March 6th
  • March 20th
  • March 27th
  • April 17th
  • April 24th
  • May 1st

All staff and students are required to wear a mask. Students will be social distanced to the best extent possible.

If your child will be participating in the NTI Saturday School Intervention Program, please respond to the letter you received by Thursday, March 04, 2021 at this link.  If your child will be participating, you are agreeing that your child will not attend if:

  • They are experiencing any of the following symptoms: Fevers or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headaches, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting or diarrhea.
  • Tests positive for COVID-19, is diagnosed with COVID-19, or has been advised by a physician or health department to stay home due to symptoms of COVID-19.

Sincerely,

Dr. Teresa Y. Yarber,
