Teacher of the Year, Mr. Kemel Roberts

Congratulations to Mr. Kemel Roberts for being named Minor Elementary's Teacher of the Year!

Mr. Roberts has been an educator since 1998.  He began his career with the New York City Department of Education.  While working in New York, he served as a teacher for grades 6-9, Mathematics Coach, Testing Coordinator, and Data Specialist.  He has a Bachelors of Arts Degree in English and a Master of Science Degree in Urban Education.  In 2014, he relocated from Brooklyn, New York to Lawrenceville, Georgia with his family.  That year, Mr. Roberts began teaching in Gwinnett County here at Minor Elementary.  

In his spare time, Mr. Roberts enjoys reading, writing, listening to music, and singing Karaoke.  In the future, he plans to publish several books and transition into the role of Assistant Principal, and then Principal.
