Norcross High School Credit Recovery

The Credit Recovery is a program that offers students the opportunity to retake a previously failed course required for high school graduation and earn credit if the student successfully completes the course requirements. In order to qualify for enrollment in a credit recovery class, a student must have previously taken the standard, traditional course and should have earned a minimum final grade of 50-69%.

We will be offering 4 sessions of Credit Recovery at Norcross High School. Please see the Parent Q&A for more information. 

We will hold an informational meeting for parents via Zoom on Friday, May 26th at 1:00 pm.

GCPS Summer School

GCPS will offer face-to-face instruction at Discovery High School and online instruction at Gwinnett Online Campus at no cost for Norcross HS students needing to take a course they have previously failed. Students may take a maximum of two courses in summer school. 

It is the parent's responsibility to register for all courses in MyPayments Plus under Summer School Course Previously Failed – Discovery High School or Gwinnett Online Campus (course previously failed). If you do not register for the correct course(s), your registration will be canceled, and you will need to re-register in My Payments Plus. If you need help registering in My Payments Plus, please refer to this help guide.

Please note: The online learning format can be challenging. Students are required to be self-disciplined and able to work independently without face-to-face instruction. Technology will not be provided and courses cannot be accessed outside of the country. Students are expected to log in to the online course every day to complete assignments.

If you are currently completing a course through credit recovery, but feel as though you may not finish the course before the end of the school year, it is advised that you register for summer school courses.

Dates:

Face to Face (Discovery HS) will be held June 12 - July 6 (Registration window: April 1-May 26)

Online (Gwinnett Online Campus) will be held June 5-June 30 (Registration window: February 15-May 26)
