Chromebook / Technology Update
A Chromebook and charger have been checked out to your student for both in school and at-home use. This device will be sent home daily in their bookbag and should be returned daily. This will allow your student(s) to continue learning using their device at school as well as at home. At home students can access their teacher's eCLASS course page as well as programs such as Classworks, iReady, and Amplify to practice grade level concepts and skills. The students use these programs at school and will know how to access them from home via their device. This daily practice of transporting their device will assist students becoming accustomed to bringing their device home for digital learning days scheduled by Gwinnett County Public Schools in our district's 2021-2022 school calendar as well as any unplanned moves to digital learning due to COVID protocols or inclement weather. Parents, please help us in reminding students to bring their device and device charging cord back to school each day so that it is used for classroom learning too.
Please complete and return to school, the Chromebook Acceptance form sent home with students. If your child has access at home to their own device and will not need a device for daily technology access, please inform your child's homeroom teacher so the device is not sent home. Your child will still use this device in class.
Thank you, as always, for your support in helping us ensure each student at Centerville Elementary reaches his/her highest level of learning and for keeping our students and staff, as safe as possible.
